Semi-frameless glass balustrades are sophisticated and stylish, but most importantly, are a safe and reliable barrier for your home. They offer you an architectural finish with toughened glass infill, which is similar to frameless glass balustrades, at a more cost effective rate.
Edge and Viking semi-frameless glass balustrades require a continuous interlinking rail to be fitted to the top edge of the glass panel, which is often just the addition of handrail to cover this requirement. Beyond the standard handrail options, additional options include a specially designed, slimline interlinking rail that can be either top mounted (on the post caps), or front mounted on the balustrade posts. Front mounted rails use a specially designed bracket, fixed to the post face, to secure the handrail 100mm below the top edge of the glass panels. The interlinking rail can be front mounted on both Viking and Edge balustrades, when the glass panels use the 10mm thick toughened glass.
Edge balustrade also has an option for a semi-frameless finish, without a top rail if a special 13.2mm toughened laminated glass is used as an infill.
Homeowners can choose a handrail style from the range shown here.
Note: A continuous, interlinking rail is not required on Edge and Viking semi-frameless glass pool fencing.
All Juralco semi-frameless glass balustrades come with NZ toughened safety glass and have been extensively engineered and tested to comply with (and exceed) the NZ Building Code, including the standard - NZS4223.3.2016.
